On August 29, a significant meeting took place between Armenia’s Minister of High-Tech Industry, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, and India’s Ambassador to Armenia, Nilakshi Saha Singh.
The primary goal of the discussions was to explore the prospects of elevating bilateral cooperation in the high-tech industry to a qualitatively new level.
Minister Hayrapetyan opened the meeting by highlighting the deep historical ties between Armenia and India, which, in his view, provide a solid foundation for future technological collaboration. He noted that recent developments in the tech world present broad opportunities for deepening bilateral relations in this field.
The discussions focused on innovative approaches to strengthening the partnership, with a particular emphasis on areas such as digitalization, research and development (R&D), and information technology.
Special attention was given to the prospects of expanding cooperation in the design and production of microelectronics and semiconductor components. The parties explored the potential for joint initiatives in these high-tech industries.
A key outcome of the meeting was Armenia’s expression of readiness for further dialogue with Indian specialists. The two sides plan to discuss specific cooperation options based on the proposals presented, utilizing new tools and resources.
This is expected to lead to new, effective forms of sectoral interaction between the two countries.
