A series of meetings aimed at strengthening bilateral economic ties was held in Bishkek between Armenian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Armen Ghevondyan and representatives of the Kyrgyz government.
In a meeting with Kyrgyz Minister of Transport and Communications Absattar Syrgabayev, discussions focused on expanding mutual trade volumes and unlocking the transit potential of both countries. Special attention was given to the development of new mutually beneficial transport routes, including multimodal shipping options.
The Armenian ambassador highlighted Yerevan's efforts to restore transport links in the South Caucasus. In turn, Minister Syrgabayev outlined Kyrgyzstan’s plans to diversify and construct new communication channels to enhance connectivity within Central Asia and beyond.
During his visit, Ghevondyan also visited the Kyrgyz Export Center, where he met with its director, Urmat Takirov, to discuss practical avenues for cooperation between the business communities of both nations. They explored opportunities for establishing long-term partnerships and optimizing supply chains for goods and services.
Established in 2023 under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan, the Kyrgyz Export Center is dedicated to enhancing the export potential and competitiveness of local producers.
