Armenia and Saudi Arabia discussed the prospects of cooperation in various fields, including trade and economics, tourism, education, as well as issues related to the protection of cultural heritage and information technology.
According to the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs press service, these matters were discussed during the meeting between the Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and the Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud on April 17 in Riyadh.
It is reported that special attention was paid to the importance of regular direct flights, which contribute to strengthening contacts between peoples and business ties.
During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the positive dynamics of the political dialogue development between the two countries. The parties emphasized the importance of organizing high-level visits following the establishment of diplomatic relations, which is an important step towards deepening cooperation.
Issues of cooperation within international organizations were also discussed, including the preparation and hosting of the "World Expo 2030".
The ministers exchanged views on regional issues, including the unblocking of transport and economic channels in the region. Ararat Mirzoyan also presented the latest developments in the settlement of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and Armenia's position on key issues.
Minister Mirzoyan also emphasized Armenia's interest in increasing logistical connectivity in the region and presented the "Crossroads of Peace" program developed by the Armenian government.
