Armenia and the USA signed an agreement on customs mutual assistance

On Tuesday, June 11, an agreement "On Customs Mutual Assistance between the Governments of Armenia and the USA" was signed in Yerevan.

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that the signing ceremony was attended by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O'Brien. The document was signed by the Chairman of the Armenian State Revenue Committee, Rustam Badasyan, and the U.S. Ambassador to Armenia, Kristina Kvien.

The agreement covers areas of cooperation, the procedure for information exchange to combat smuggling and other customs violations. The document also provides for the simplification of procedures for bona fide entrepreneurs.
