On May 20, Armenia's Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan held a meeting with the World Bank's Regional Director for Sustainable Development in Europe and Central Asia, Sameh Wahba.
According to the government's press service, the meeting covered a wide range of issues concerning the main directions and prospects of cooperation between the Armenian government and the World Bank in the field of sustainable development.
Special attention was given to the content and progress of the housing program for displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh.
Earlier, BMG reported that the World Bank's Board of Executive Directors approved a Development Policy Operation (DPO) for Armenia amounting to $116 million. These funds are allocated to support reforms aimed at developing a green, sustainable, and inclusive economy.
