Armenia's Minister of Finance Vahe Hovannisyan, hosted a delegation led by the Secretary-General of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Kazuhiko Koguchi, on April 22.
According to the ministry's press service, the parties discussed the details of the EBRD's annual meeting, scheduled to take place in Yerevan from May 14 to 16.
In particular, they touched upon the organizational aspects of the annual EBRD meeting, emphasizing the joint efforts being made for the proper organization of this unprecedented event in Armenia.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the effective interaction and constructive discussions during the process.
Earlier, BMG reported that Armenia became a member of the EBRD on December 7, 1992. The Bank has participated in financing 210 projects in Armenia, with a total investment portfolio of 2.080 billion euros. The share of investments in the private sector is 81%.
The annual meeting and business forum of the EBRD bring together high-ranking officials from member countries, representatives of the financial world, and business leaders to discuss financial and economic issues and cooperation in addressing them.
