The prospects of major investment projects and the development of the private sector were key topics during the meeting between Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and a delegation from the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC).

According to the Armenian government’s press service, the delegation, which visited Yerevan on October 23, was led by the corporation’s Deputy Executive Director, Nisha Biswal.

During the talks, special attention was given to mechanisms of support for the Armenian economy provided by the DFC. Deputy Prime Minister Grigoryan emphasized that private sector development is one of the priority areas for ensuring the country’s sustainable economic growth.

The DFC representatives introduced the Armenian side to the support tools that the corporation can offer. The parties discussed in detail the prospects for developing Armenia's capital market and the potential for implementing large-scale investment projects with the support of the U.S. corporation.
