According to the statement by the Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia Vahan Sirunyan on Monday, April 22, during the session of the parliamentary committee on financial, credit, and budgetary affairs, the process of evaluating budget programs will be implemented in the country with the aim of increasing their efficiency.
This initiative, developed by the Ministry of Finance, is aimed at optimizing state expenditures and more effectively utilizing budgetary funds. According to Sirunyan, the concept of implementing this process was already approved by the Prime Minister of Armenia in April 2022, and now it needs to be enshrined at the legislative level.
As part of this initiative, the Ministry of Finance will conduct analytical work to evaluate the decisions made and their alignment with the policy being pursued, as well as the efficiency of expenditures.
These changes, as he noted, are intended to improve the management of state finances and enhance transparency in the use of budgetary funds.
