The Government of Armenia has introduced a draft program for customs duty compensation on the legal act platform e-draft, aimed at stimulating exports.
The initiative, developed by the Ministry of Economy, addresses increased transportation costs and logistical challenges faced by Armenian producers in accessing international markets.
Under the proposed program, exporters will be reimbursed for customs duties levied in countries importing Armenian goods. The amount of compensation will be based on the customs value of the exported product and aligned with the duty rates set by the importer's national legislation.
The program's funding is planned to be allocated from the state budget.
Implementation will occur in phases, considering the state budget's capacity and the needs of beneficiaries.
According to government projections, this initiative is expected to boost the volume of Armenian exports, enhance the global recognition of the "Armenian Brand," and diversify export destinations.
This support measure will be available to both organizations and individual entrepreneurs engaged in export activities, aiming to create more favorable conditions for promoting Armenian products in international markets.
