The Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia recently took a significant step toward the introduction of 5G technology in the country. The ministry announced the liberalization of the 3600-3800 MHz frequency band, which will be used for the deployment of a fifth-generation broadband network.
Currently, the ministry is actively developing quality standards and the tender package conditions for public mobile broadband 5G services. This is a key phase in the preparation process for the new technology, which promises revolutionary changes in the speed and quality of mobile internet.
To ensure the successful implementation of the project, the ministry has initiated a series of meetings with Armenia's mobile network operators. These meetings focus on discussing issues related to the deployment of 5G networks and assessing the operators' readiness and interest in participating in the upcoming tender and completing the necessary work.
