The German company GmbH Architects and Engineers has presented a 450-page design package for the master plan of the "academic campus."

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in a video posted on his Facebook page, described the work as comprehensive and thorough.

“They analyzed the wind directions, the views that should be seen from each platform, the types of vegetation, and their functional roles in different layers,” Pashinyan noted, expressing his satisfaction that such planning culture is taking root in Armenian reality with this project.

Earlier reports indicated that "Academic City" will be built on approximately 680 hectares of land adjacent to Yerevan's 17th district, bordering Armavir, Aragatsotn, and Kotayk regions, connected by various transport routes linking Yerevan and the regions.

Preliminary estimates suggest that about 44,000 people will work and reside in the academic city during the initial phase.
