The State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia has taken a significant step towards expanding the system of Authorized Economic Operators (AEO) in the country.

At an official ceremony, SRC Chairman Rustam Badasyan personally handed a Type 1 certificate to Hakob Menemshyan, CEO of "Barsis" LLC, making the company the second AEO in Armenia.

Badasyan emphasized the importance of this milestone as a model for other companies aspiring to voluntarily comply with the AEO status requirements.

This status offers several key advantages for conducting foreign economic activities, including priority processing of customs operations and the ability to release goods before submitting a customs declaration.

Following the official part of the event, a productive discussion took place on pressing issues related to law-abiding businesses, customs simplifications, and the organization of tax and customs administration.

Both parties agreed on the need for further expansion of simplifications and benefits for conscientious entrepreneurs.

Menemshyan expressed satisfaction with the collaboration with the SRC, highlighting the positive relationship between government agencies and the business community.

The event culminated in the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the SRC and "Barsis" LLC, aimed at ensuring efficient information exchange for the application of special simplified procedures.

This event marks an important stage in the development of foreign economic activities in Armenia, contributing to more favorable conditions for law-abiding businesses and enhancing the efficiency of customs procedures.
