Regional cities recorded the highest growth rate at 3.8%, surpassing the growth rates of both the capital (2.7%) and rural areas (1.4%).

As of October 1, 2024, 48 regional cities in Armenia are home to 840,000 people. Gyumri remains the largest regional center with a population of around 115,000, while the smallest city, Dastakert in the Syunik Province, has just 300 residents.
The country’s total population reached 3,067,000, an increase of 2.5% since the beginning of the year, primarily due to the influx of refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh.
