Consumer prices in Armenia in October 2021 were up 9.1% compared to October 2020, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) said.
Consumer prices in January-October of this year, compared to the same period in 2020, were up 6.9%, it said, ARKA reports.
According to the NSC, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages in October 2021 were up 16% compared to October 2020.
Alcohol and tobacco products rose in price by 9.7% from October 2020. Prices for clothing and footwear increased by 11.7% and utilities - by 1.5%.
Household goods and appliances rose in price by 9.3%. Also, healthcare services grew by 4.7%, transportation services – by 8.4%, communications services – by 0.8%, recreation and entertainment prices – by 7.4%, education prices – by 1.4% and restaurant and hotel prices – by 3.4%.
According to statistics, prices for non-food products in October 2021 compared to October last year increased by 9.7%. Prices for service rose by 1.6%.
The government’s projection of inflation rate for 2021 is 4% (± 1.5%).
