On September 16, Armenia's Minister of High-Tech Industry, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, visited the construction site of "Engineering City" to personally assess the progress of the project, according to the ministry's press service.
During the visit, the minister toured the future site of "Engineering City." He was presented with the schedule of current and planned construction work, introduced to the infrastructure being developed, and shown areas designated for green spaces.
According to the plans, "Engineering City" will become a hub for advanced technology development. Its main activities will include a leading laboratory for unmanned technologies, a 5G research lab, an industrial Internet of Things (IoT) lab, a semiconductor testing lab, a radiofrequency and microwave lab, as well as mechanical engineering and metrology labs.
The creation of "Engineering City" marks a significant step in the development of Armenia's high-tech sector.
