Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ararat Mirzoyan, held talks in Helsinki with Finland’s Minister for European Affairs and Ownership Steering, Jan Joakim Strand. The discussions focused on advancing Armenia’s partnership with the European Union.
According to Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting centered on actionable steps to enhance Armenia-EU cooperation and the main elements of a renewed agenda for collaboration. Mirzoyan referred to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s recent address to the European Parliament, where Armenia's readiness for closer integration with the EU was emphasized, contingent on the EU's capacity to reciprocate.
Guided by this vision, the ministers reviewed specific programs aimed at achieving tangible outcomes in both Armenia-Finland bilateral relations and Armenia-EU interactions.
The meeting also touched on trilateral cooperation in the Armenia-USA-EU format, initiated on April 5, aimed at strengthening Armenia's resilience. The two ministers exchanged views on regional developments and ongoing processes.
