On Thursday, June 13, the Armenian Parliament approved the draft resolution "On the Approval of the Annual Report on the Execution of the State Budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2023" with 67 votes in favor.
In the reporting year, state budget revenues amounted to 2.3 trillion drams (approximately 5.9 billion USD), expenditures reached 2.5 trillion drams (more than 6.4 billion USD), and the deficit was 188.8 billion drams (484 million USD).
In 2023, economic growth was 8.7%, exceeding the projected 7%.
Inflation stood at 2%, significantly slowing down compared to the previous year. The unemployment rate decreased by 0.9 percentage points to 12.6%, and wages increased by 14.6%.
By the end of the year, the national debt amounted to 11.8 billion USD, of which external debt was 6.5 billion USD (54.9% of the total) and domestic debt was 5.3 billion USD (45.1% of the total).
