On September 19 in Yerevan, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a meeting with a delegation led by Michael Roth, Chairman of the German Bundestag Foreign Affairs Committee.
The agenda included issues of bilateral cooperation, Armenia’s relations with the European Union, and regional policy.
Pashinyan emphasized the importance of developing inter-parliamentary ties and economic cooperation between Armenia and Germany, noting the dynamic nature of relations in recent years. Roth, in turn, highlighted the active engagement with Armenian parliamentarians, including on international platforms.
Special attention was given to Armenia’s relations with the European Union and the country's democratic reform process. Pashinyan reiterated the strategic importance of democracy for the Armenian government and promised consistency in implementing reforms.
The parties also discussed several regional issues, including peace treaty negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the border delimitation process between the two countries, and the “Crossroads of Peace” project proposed by the Armenian government to unlock regional transport links.
The Armenian Prime Minister presented his country’s position on these matters. The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on other regional and international topics.
