On December 11, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia received Alfonso Di Riso, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Armenia, who is concluding his diplomatic mission in the country.
Prime Minister Pashinyan expressed his appreciation for the positive progress in Armenia-Italy relations during Ambassador Di Riso’s tenure. He emphasized that this positive momentum should not only be maintained but also further developed and strengthened in the near future. Pashinyan underscored the importance of expanding bilateral cooperation across various sectors, including political, economic, and cultural areas.
Ambassador Di Riso thanked the Prime Minister for the strong cooperation throughout his tenure and highlighted the significant progress in economic relations, particularly in the textile sector. He also stressed the importance of cultural collaboration and mentioned that preparations are underway for a new joint exhibition between the two countries.
During the meeting, the two officials also discussed the latest developments regarding the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty and the ongoing efforts in the border demarcation process.
