Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will travel to Davos on January 23 to participate in the World Economic Forum, where he will speak in a panel discussion on European power. The announcement was made by the Prime Minister’s spokesperson, Nazeli Baghdasaryan.

According to the official forum website, Pashinyan will be a participant in the discussion titled “How to Design Europe’s Power.” The panel will also feature Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, representatives from Paris’s Sciences Po University, Syensqo and TotalEnergies, as well as the European Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is also attending the forum and has already held several bilateral meetings, including with Israeli President Isaac Herzog, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. So far, the Armenian Prime Minister’s office has not disclosed any planned bilateral meetings for Pashinyan.

The World Economic Forum, which began on January 20 in Davos, Switzerland, will run until January 24 under the theme “Collaboration in the Age of Intelligence.” The event brings together around 3,000 leaders from over 130 countries, including 350 state officials and 60 heads of state and government from key regions worldwide.

This marks Nikol Pashinyan’s second appearance at the Davos Forum; he first attended the prominent global economic event in 2019.
