On Thursday, August 8, Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan participated in the official ceremony marking the launch of a collaboration between Armenian Tobacco Company (ATC) and the British group Imperial Brands, which includes Reemtsma Cigarettenfabriken GmbH.
According to the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Economy, an investment of approximately $33 million is planned over the next three years. Additionally, 130 new jobs will be created. Imperial Brands, a member of the Fortune Global 500, will oversee product development and quality control.
As part of this partnership, Armenian Tobacco plans to establish production of two globally renowned brands in Armenia. The products, meeting international standards, will be marketed within the Armenian market.
