At a parliamentary session on March 19, Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of Armenia Armen Simonyan announced the suspension of the license of the country's national airline - Fly Arna.
"At the moment, Fly Arna's license is suspended. According to the norms and rules of our legislation, if the company does not have an aircraft, the license is suspended for up to 6 months until a suitable aircraft is acquired. If this aircraft is not used within 6 months, the license will be terminated," explained the deputy minister, emphasizing that the main difficulties of the company are related to financing problems.
In January of this year, there was news of Armenia's airline Fly Arna suspending flights due to operational changes. Fly Arna was founded in September 2021 and was established by the United Arab Emirates-based airline Air Arabia and the Armenian State Interests Fund. The airline operated flights to Russia and Iran.
