Armenia's annual inflation rate grew to 8.3% in late December 2022, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) said.
According to official numbers, prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 10% in 2022 compared to 2021.
Price of alcohol and tobacco products rose by 8.9%. Prices for clothing and footwear rose by 7.2%, while utilities rose by 8.2%. Prices for household goods and appliances rose 13.1%.
The prices for healthcare services rose by 3.1%, prices for transportation services upped by 6.1%, communications services rose 0.6%, prices for recreation and culture services grew by 9.8%, education services upped by 4.7%, prices for restaurants and hotels by 8.8%.
Prices for non-food products in December 2022 were up 7.17% compared to December last year. Prices for services rose 7.2%, ARKA reports.
