Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia, Gnel Sanosyan, announced his resignation, joining a wave of high-ranking officials stepping down following sharp criticism from Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
In his farewell address, Sanosyan reflected on his three years in office, highlighting the successful implementation of key infrastructure projects and responses to crises, including refugee issues and disaster recovery efforts.
He expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for the trust placed in him and expressed hope for the continued effective work of the ministry under new leadership.
Notably, several prominent government and law enforcement figures resigned within 24 hours. These include Minister of Internal Affairs Vahe Ghazaryan, Chairman of the Investigative Committee Argishti Kyaramyan, Head of the Anti-Corruption Committee Sasun Khachatryan, and Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council Karen Andreasyan.
According to media reports, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Rustam Badasyan has also submitted his resignation.
The wave of resignations followed a forceful address by Prime Minister Pashinyan during a government session on November 14, where he expressed deep dissatisfaction with the performance of law enforcement and judicial systems.
"My patience has run out," the Prime Minister stated, promising decisive actions. On November 18, Pashinyan officially confirmed that he had asked several high-ranking officials to step down.
