Georgia’s average monthly nominal salary increased by 8% year-on-year, or GEL 177, to GEL 2,389 in the second quarter of 2026, according to Geostat. The highest average salaries were recorded in information and communication (GEL 4,400), financial and insurance activities (GEL 4,074), construction (GEL 3,496.6), and professional, scientific and technical activities (GEL 3,304.8).
The average salary for women stood at GEL 1,927, while men earned GEL 2,856. Women’s average salary increased by 9% year-on-year, or GEL 157.5, while men’s rose by 7.6%, or GEL 200.5. Men’s average salary exceeded women’s in every economic sector.
In the business sector, the average monthly salary of employees increased by GEL 153.8, or 6.6%, to GEL 2,471.5. The highest salaries were recorded in information and communication (GEL 4,464) and professional, scientific and technical activities (GEL 3,693).
In the non-business and financial sector, the average monthly salary rose by GEL 215, or 10.6%, year-on-year to GEL 2,239. Within this sector, employees in financial and insurance activities recorded the highest average pay.
