TBC Capital published a report on Tourism. According to the document, in October 2022, the average occupancy recorded a minor increase relative to the same period in 2019, by 2 percentage points. The average occupancy of medium and small hotels marginally outpaced the 2019 level, with an increase also constituting 2 pp.
As of TBC Capital, the average room price in the large hotels of Georgia amounted to USD 115.
Tbilisi’s average occupancy rate remained relatively stable and amounted to 70% in October 2022.
"The hotel occupancy in the seaside region outpaced 2019 level by 5 pp, however overall seaside occupancy significantly diminished due to the closure of small and medium entities after the end of the active, summer season. The occupancy level in the Kakheti region also enjoyed positive results outperforming the 2019 level by 6 pp", - the document reads.
In October, the average daily rate in large hotels recovered by 96% relative to the 2019 level.
A total of 442,603 visitors visited Georgia in October, which was 115% more compared to the previous year, and stood at 67% of the pre-pandemic level.
