Azerbaijan natural gas supplies to Georgia increased in the first quarter of 2026, according to data from the country’s Ministry of Energy. The rise reflects broader growth in Azerbaijan’s gas exports during the period.
In January–March 2026, Azerbaijan produced 12.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas, matching the level recorded in the same period of 2025. However, exports increased by 8.3% year-on-year, reaching 6.5 billion cubic meters.
Out of total exports, 3 billion cubic meters were supplied to Europe, 2.4 billion cubic meters to Turkey, and 0.3 billion cubic meters to Syria. At the same time, deliveries to Georgia rose by 14%, totaling around 800 million cubic meters over the three-month period.
During the same period, 1.5 billion cubic meters of gas were transported to Turkey via the TANAP pipeline. The data highlights Georgia’s continued role in regional energy flows despite fluctuations in overall export distribution.
