B Hepatitis Management State Program launches in Georgia

B ჰეპატიტი

B Hepatitis Management State Program has been launched in Georgia, the Health Ministry reported, adding patients will receive medical services free of charge, including testing, diagnostics, and medical treatment starting in September. The program will cover medicine costs.

The program’s objective is to stop the spread of Hepatitis B. Initially, individuals with chronic HBV infection and B Hepatitis will be eligible to participate.

A special commission will determine who can join the program. Those interested should submit their applications to medical institutions across Georgia.

Fifteen clinics are currently involved, but the health ministry promises to increase the number of service providers gradually.
