The capacity load of the Southern Gas Corridor has increased.

According to data from the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan, more than 13.385 billion cubic meters of gas were transported through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipeline in the first seven months of this year. This represents an annual increase of over 167 million cubic meters, or 1.3%.

In total, Azerbaijan transported over 23.989 billion cubic meters of gas via main gas pipelines, exceeding last year's figure by 2.4%.

Notably, more than half—55.8%—of total gas transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipeline. Natural gas extracted from the Shah Deniz field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea is supplied via this pipeline to Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, and European countries.
