The craft beer producer company "Bayo" managed to produce and sell 60,000 bottles of beer in 2023, Giorgi Maruashvili, the founder of "Bayo" told BMG.
According to him, in the second half of 2023, the company added new plant capacities, which led to a significant increase in the production volume by the end of the year. And the new capacity will allow increasing the production volume by 20-25% in 2024.
"It was quite a successful year, we successfully achieved what we had planned at the beginning of the year. Next year, we shift our main focus to the production of new types of beers. We produce approximately 8-9 thousand bottles of craft beer per month, however, the demand is higher than our supply resources, so we have the maximum focus on expanding production," says Giorgi Maruashvili.
The founder of the company also mentions that "Bayo" started production with 50 liters, while today they already produce a one-ton beer.
Currently, "Bayo" produces 13 kinds of craft beer and it is fully sold in the local market. However, the company's action plan includes the expansion of this area. Giorgi Maruashvili told BMG that their main focus is on the regions of Western Georgia and in the near future their beer will be available there as well.
