Georgian beer producers declare that the Euro 2024 football championship significantly boosted the sales.
Giorgi Maruashvili, co-founder of Bayo Brewery, says that the one-month effect of the football event is over, although their sales increased by 50% during this period, which was influenced by the opening of a branded bar.
"The European Championship is one of the most watched sports events, which is followed by an increase in beer sales. It was a one-month effect that showed up in the numbers. Added to this, we managed to open our bar for the European Championship, we have guests every day and sales have grown.
In the last month, sales have increased by 50% compared to the same period last year. Here was the effect of both football and the bar," says Giorgi Maruashvili, co-founder of Bayo Brewery.
