The BBC released a film on so-called scam call centers. In the documentary, Davit Kezerashvili is named as the founder of many call centers in Georgia.

According to the BBC, the majority of call centers operating in Georgia were located in the so-called Pixel building, and many of them were founded or registered by the former Minister of Defense of Georgia, Davit Kezerashvili.

In the film, he is referred to as "Mr. Offshore".

The BBC camera crew attended a special operation conducted by Georgian law enforcement officers in the office of one of the call centers, which was also attended by German prosecutors. According to the journalist, in parallel with the mentioned special operation, 30 more raids were carried out throughout Georgia.

According to the agency, Kezerashvili was a connecting link between other persons mentioned in the investigation who own or manage scam companies - Davit Todua, Mikheil Benimini, Ioseb Mgeladze, Rati Chelidze and Guram Gogeshvili. The BBC notes that now no documentary evidence of the connections between them can be found, but it cites other indirect evidence, such as personal connections.

Before this, BBC has published an investigative piece on a billion-dollar scam titled "the scammers who will steal your life savings".

In the article, which is mainly devoted to the fraudulent appropriation of the savings of people of retirement age, the former Minister of Defense of Georgia, Davit Kezerashvili, is mentioned as one of the main organizers.
