Billionaire and social entrepreneur Ruben Vardanyan has agreed to take up as Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) State Minister (prime minister).
"At the beginning of November, I will officially assume the post of Artsakh State Minister and then I will outline our strategic goals and priority tasks that we will have to solve, as well as inform about the first steps we will take," Vardanyan wrote in his TG-channel.
According to him, the way the political events around Armenia and Artsakh are unfolding, the way the situation around the Artsakh issue is unfolding, on which the fate of Armenia and the Armenian world depend without exaggeration, is aggravating, causing his utmost concern.
"I realize that I no longer have time to think, nor do I have any other way but to stand by the people of Artsakh and assume my share of responsibility for Artsakh's future," Vardanyan wrote.
He noted that the one and a half months of meetings with the people of Artsakh,, its political and public figures, representatives of various communities and social groups have convinced him that the people support his candidacy for the post of the State Minister and want to see him as a responsible leader who will rally all the healthy forces around him and lead the real work to pull the country out of crisis.
In earlier September, Vardanyan said he renounced his Russian citizenship and was moving to Nagorno-Karabakh, ARKA reports.
