Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has attributed positive tourism trends to the government’s tourism policy and the introduction of new direct flights, despite challenges caused by the conflict in the Middle East.
Kobakhidze said the government’s tourism promotion measures and the Economy Ministry’s efforts to expand direct air connections had supported growth. He thanked the ministry and the Georgian National Tourism Administration for their work.
According to the National Tourism Administration, Georgia recorded 6.11 million visits by international travelers in January–September 2026, up 0.04% year-on-year. Tourist visits totaled 4.4 million, an increase of 2.3%.
Tourism revenue reached a record $3.8 billion during the first nine months of 2026, rising 4.4%, or $158.3 million, compared with the same period in 2025.
