Bioli Wellness Resort was operating at 70%–75% occupancy at the end of October, while occupancy reached 90%–95% during the peak summer season, founder and businessman Tamaz Mchedlidze told BM.GE.

Despite a decline in visitors from Gulf countries amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, the resort maintained demand, with more guests arriving from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Azerbaijan. Mchedlidze said Bioli, which targets high-spending visitors, received fewer guests this year from the Gulf region than in 2024 and 2025.

The resort currently has 17 cottages and also sees strong demand for medical wellness services. According to Mchedlidze, wellness tourism is particularly valuable because guests tend to stay longer, helping the resort generate enough revenue to offset slower periods.

Regarding prices amid rising global oil costs and inflation, Mchedlidze said the resort adjusts its rates according to demand: higher demand leads to higher prices, while weaker demand results in lower rates. He added that developing more infrastructure targeting high-spending visitors could contribute to Georgia’s economic growth.
