Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili said Georgia will remain a reliable partner and continue deepening cooperation based on shared interests following a trilateral meeting with the foreign ministers of Turkey and Azerbaijan in Istanbul.
Bochorishvili said the meeting reaffirmed the close political dialogue, mutual trust, and strategic partnership among the three countries, describing the trilateral format as one of the region’s most successful cooperation mechanisms.
The ministers signed a joint declaration outlining key areas of cooperation, including political, economic, transport, energy, defense, and cultural ties. Bochorishvili noted that Turkey and Azerbaijan remain among Georgia’s largest trading partners.
The parties also discussed regional security, the Middle Corridor, the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, energy transit projects, and the Black Sea submarine cable project. Bochorishvili said the next trilateral ministerial meeting will be hosted by Georgia.
