Amendments to the Law on Broadcasting Law initiated at the Parliamentary Bureau session that would prohibit broadcaster from receiving funding from foreign sources.
The draft legislation aims to block all forms of direct or indirect financial support - including monetary contributions and other material benefits - from foreign powers.
The proposed amendments specifically target multiple funding channels, prohibiting foreign entities from purchasing broadcaster services or providing direct or indirect funding for program production and transmission. The legislation would also ban broadcasters from accepting payment for running social advertising campaigns.
