Butrana launched a new farm with an investment of GEL 1 million. The Farm is located in the village Tibaani, Signagi municipality, which is equipped with modern technologies.
As Jemal Khatiashvili, founder of Butrana declares, the farm can accommodate 50 cows and it also has a demonstration purpose, where various necessary information on the farm management can be shared.
According to him, Butrana will use the raw milk in the cheese production.
“The farm, equipped with modern technologies, can accommodate 50 cows. We have installed feed production system. The farm will use this milk in the production of our cheese. It should be noted, that we have modernized cheese enterprise as well and reequipped it. In addition, the farm has a demonstration purpose, where we can give masterclass for those persons, who are interested in farm management.
As for the future plans, we will launch to introduce ISO 22000 from May. This will enable us to increase our sales further and make exports abroad. China is interested in our products at this stage. We deeply hope to enter the EU countries”, - the founder of Butrana said.
Butrana produces 20 types of Georgian and European cheese and employs 20 people at the spot. The enterprise can process 1 ton milk per day and produces over 150 kg of cheese.
