Georgia’s Economy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili said interest from Chinese investors in Georgia has increased significantly, particularly in the energy, transport and logistics sectors.
Summarizing the Georgian delegation’s visit to China, Kvrivishvili said she participated in the Global Sustainable Transport Forum, where she highlighted the importance of the Anaklia Deep Sea Port and the modernization of Georgian Railway. She also presented the government’s plans for further development of the transport and logistics sector.
During the visit, the Georgian delegation held meetings with China’s transport minister, deputy commerce minister, major corporations and companies operating in transport, shipping, port operations and energy. “We saw that interest in investing in Georgia from China has increased significantly, particularly in the energy, transport and logistics sectors,” Kvrivishvili said.
The minister said the visit would contribute to further strengthening trade and economic relations between Georgia and China.
