Car shipping dominates in the trade turnover of Georgia. Goods worth USD 11.457 billion were transported by road, which was 53% of Georgia's foreign trade turnover.
Products worth USD 6.955 billion were transported by maritime transport, freight worth 1.334 billion was transported by railway, and cargo worth USD 1.252 billion was served by the air transport.
As for direct exports, USD 4.3 billion worth of export products were transported by road out of USD 6.09 billion worth of goods. USD 1.226 billion worth of goods were served by maritime transport, and only USD 202 million worth of products were delivered to exporting markets by the railway.
The largest share of imports also accounts for road transport. USD 7.15 billion worth of imported products entered Georgia by cars, USD 5.7 billion worth of products by sea transport, and USD 1.132 billion worth of cargo was received by railway. USD 991.8 million of imported products were served by air transport.
