Trade turnover between Georgia and Poland decreased slightly in the first seven months of 2025, amounting to USD 193.9 million, compared to USD 199.8 million in the same period last year. This marks the first decline in bilateral trade in the last five years.
According to trade statistics, Georgia’s imports from Poland make up the majority of turnover. Between January and July, imports stood at USD 164.8 million, down from USD 170.3 million a year earlier. The main commodities imported from Poland were motor vehicles (USD 15.7 million) and sugar (USD 8.2 million), followed by medicines, chocolate, tractors, bakery products, trucks, cosmetics, TV equipment, and frozen vegetables.
On the export side, Georgia shipped USD 29 million worth of goods to Poland in the same period, only slightly down from USD 29.4 million last year. The top export was natural grape wine (USD 10 million), followed by finished products such as clothing patterns (USD 5.8 million), nuts, packaging sacks, new rubber tires, clays, medical equipment, cars, sweetened mineral waters, and knitted headgear.
Looking at recent years, Georgia–Poland trade has been steadily expanding:
- 2024 – $382.3 million
- 2023 – $319.2 million
- 2022 – $259.8 million
- 2021 – $206.1 million
- 2020 – $161.6 million
While the slight decline in 2025 interrupts this upward trend, Poland remains an important trading partner for Georgia, especially in vehicle imports and wine exports.
