The Central Bank of Armenia published official exchange rates for January 14, showing an increase in the U.S. dollar and a decline in the Russian ruble.
According to the regulator, the U.S. dollar rose by 0.56 drams to 397.78 drams, while the Russian ruble decreased by 0.01 drams, reaching 3.87 drams.
The euro also appreciated, gaining 2.96 drams to reach 408.04 drams. The British pound strengthened by 2.74 drams to 484.73 drams, and the Swiss franc rose by 0.85 drams to 434.21 drams.
Among regional currencies, the Georgian lari fell by 0.30 drams to 140.07 drams. The Iranian rial remained stable at 0.95 drams per 100 rials. The UAE dirham gained 0.15 drams, reaching 108.30 drams.
Asian currencies showed mixed trends: the Chinese yuan rose by 0.08 drams to 54.26 drams, the Japanese yen decreased by 0.04 drams to 25.20 drams, and the Hong Kong dollar gained 0.08 drams to 51.09 drams.
On the precious metals market, a decline was recorded: the price of gold dropped by 181.00 drams to 34,140.00 drams, while silver fell by 5.53 drams to 382.13 drams.
