China's Fujian Zero Point and One Eight Creation Technology Co., Ltd has initiated a strategic partnership to manufacture products for international footwear brands in Uzbekistan, aiming to enhance export capacity and create new jobs, BMG reports.
The news follows a meeting between the Chairman of Uzcharmsanoat (Uzbekistan's leather and footwear industry association), Akbar Sultanov, and representatives of the Chinese company.
During the discussion, the parties explored the integration of advanced Chinese technologies into Uzbekistan’s leather industry and their promotion in global markets. The company plans to export the products to Central Asia, CIS countries, and Europe.
The introduction of cutting-edge solutions and global brands is expected to increase Uzbekistan’s industrial capacity while fostering bilateral economic and industrial collaboration with China.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover with China totaled $10.2 billion from January through October of this year. This is 3.5 percent less compared to the same period last year ($10.8 billion from January through October 2023).
