In 9M24, Georgia purchased 5,432 tons of coffee USD 27.1 million worth, while 5,693 tons of coffee worth of 22.8 million USD was purchased in the same period of the last year.
It turns out that this year, Georgia paid 4.99 USD for one kg of coffee, whereas the price was 4.01 USD last year, which means that this year coffee exports to Georgia have become more expensive by 19.6%.
The price increase can be explained by a global trend. Due to supply chain disruptions and climatic conditions, the price of coffee has increased in the world, including Robusta coffee, which hit a 45-year maximum.
