Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava declares, that construction of a high voltage transmission line is considered on the bottom of the Black Sea to connect the Georgian-EU energy systems.
According to the agency, the construction of a high-voltage transmission line on the bottom of the Black Sea was one of the projects discussed by the Georgian delegation with its European counterparts during the Association Council meeting in Brussels.
According to Natia Turnava, the project, introduced two or three years ago, is of historical significance.
"The World Bank has confirmed its readiness to finance feasibility study of the project, and we have already informed our friends and colleagues about it. It is also important for us, Western companies to take part in this historic project, so the relevant structures of the European Union have called on the companies to take part in the funding of the study, as well as finding investors and contractors in the future," said the Minister of Economy.
