In May of this year, the volume of construction in Armenia amounted to 42.9 billion drams (approximately $110 million), and for the period of January-May, it reached 150.7 billion drams (approximately $380 million), which is 18.1% and 14.9% higher, respectively, compared to the same period last year.
According to the Statistical Committee, a significant share of the economic activity in the construction volume carried out in Armenia in May 2024 is attributed to real estate activities (46.5%), transportation (14.8%), electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply (8.3%), and water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities (6.2%).
During the considered period, the primary share of construction volumes in Armenia is financed by organizations, amounting to 17.976 billion drams, which is 23% less than the same period last year.
