Consumer prices in Ukraine in September 2021 rose by 1.2% compared to August 2021, the State Statistics Service said.
According to Ukrstat, consumer prices in September 2021 grew by 11% compared to September 2020 and by 7.5% compared to December 2020. In January-September 2021 compared to the same period last year, consumer inflation amounted to 9%. Core inflation in September 2021 compared to August 2021 amounted to 1.3%. Since the beginning of the year, it has reached 5.5%, UKRINFORM reports.
Among consumer goods and services in September 2021 compared to September 2020, the largest increase was recorded in prices for sugar (by 88%), sunflower oil (by 71.7%) and natural gas (by 68.6%).
From September 2020 to September 2021, the largest decrease was recorded in prices for footwear (by 4.9%), clothing (by 4.2%) and fruit (by 3.5%).
Pursuant to the State Statistics Service, consumer prices in September 2020 increased by 0.5% compared to August 2020 and grew by 2.3% compared to September 2019. In January-September 2020 compared to the same period of 2019, consumer inflation amounted to 2.4%.
