Cooperation with the EBRD contributes to the development of Armenia's economy, says Pashinyan

On May 15, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Odile Renaud-Basso, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

The meeting highlighted the significance of hosting the EBRD's annual meeting in Yerevan and the strong cooperation between the Armenian government and the EBRD.

According to the Prime Minister's press service, Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that the joint programs between Armenia and the EBRD are instrumental in developing the country's economy and modernizing its infrastructure. He noted the positive impact of these collaborative efforts.

Odile Renaud-Basso expressed her gratitude to the Armenian government for organizing and hosting the EBRD annual meeting at such a high standard. She underscored the importance of Armenia as one of the EBRD's key partners, highlighting the effectiveness of their joint programs.

The discussions also covered the progress of ongoing projects and future initiatives aimed at further strengthening the cooperation between the Armenian government and the EBRD.

Earlier, BMG reported that Armenia became a member of the EBRD on December 7, 1992. The Bank has participated in financing 210 projects in Armenia, with a total investment portfolio of 2.080 billion euros. The share of investments in the private sector is 81%.
