"We understand that loans are not always available to small farmers and that they need support in the face of rising prices for fuel, fertilizers and pesticides," the Agriculture Minister said in a speech in the Parliament during the "Minister’s Hour".
According to him, promoting the growth of local production is especially important today, so the Ministry is actively working to address the existing issues.
"Within the framework of the preferential agro-credit project, we will finance the interest rate of the loan taken for the working capital. However, even here we understand that loans are not always available to small farmers and they need support in the face of rising prices for fuel, fertilizers and pesticides. We are actively working on this and in the near future, we will present a package of assistance that will help farmers to finance the costs of growing their products to some extent, "- said Otar Shamugia.
