The Central Bank of Armenia has announced new exchange rates for January 17, noting an increase across most major currencies. The US dollar strengthened by 0.84 drams, reaching 398.94 drams, continuing its upward trend.
The euro also saw gains, rising by 1.50 drams to 410.95 drams. The Russian ruble experienced a slight increase of 0.01 drams, settling at 3.89 drams.
Among other key currencies, the British pound climbed by 0.87 drams to 486.63 drams, and the Swiss franc rose by 0.88 drams to 437.63 drams. The Georgian lari increased by 0.59 drams, reaching 140.52 drams.
The precious metals market also demonstrated positive movement. The price of gold rose by 570 drams to 34,842 drams, while silver increased by 9.98 drams to 393.83 drams.
As for Asian currencies, the Chinese yuan appreciated by 0.13 drams to 54.43 drams, the Japanese yen increased by 0.04 drams to 25.61 drams, and the UAE dirham gained 0.22 drams, reaching 108.61 drams.
